A fight or a race produces one result, which makes it a tidy single leg for an accumulator and a source of many side markets. This section sets those markets out.

Winner, method of victory and round betting apply to boxing, MMA and UFC; podium places and fastest laps to Formula 1, NASCAR and general motorsport. Cycling follows the same winner-and-placings pattern.

Betting adverts often use athletes. Under the CAP Code a person who is or seems to be under 25 cannot be shown gambling or given a significant role in one. The limit governs who is shown, not who bets, and the minimum age for betting stays 18.
